Layang Layang Island...the diving

The sign on the side of the boat says it all really...

Large pods of Common Dolphins, which true to their names, were commonly seen on the short boat rides to selected dive sites.  

Not as prevalent as they are on Sipadan, shaking them vigourously will get you banned... 

 

Into the blue in search of the big stuff, its an unequal mix of flying and falling, 2 kilometer depths make flying the more appealing alternative... 

 

One of three manta rays seen over the course of our trip...about 2 meters wide, wingtip to wingtip...awesome.  

Inherent abilities as a crack wildlife photographer clearly visible in this outstanding shot of a scalloped hammerhead...
